Here is your November online update with some dates for your diaries and other information.

DISTRICT MEETINGS
The next two district meetings are:
+ December 1st: Ringing at Longstanton 3 - 5 pm, refreshments during ringing
+ January 5th 2013: Ringing at Burwell 2.30 - 4.30, service, tea and ADM
At the ADM, we will announce the programme of ringing meetings for the rest of 2013 and January 2014, as well as electing district officers and committee members and presenting reports and accounts for 2012. Do please come along to get first-hand information about future ringing meetings, make your views known and contribute to the running of the district. For any more details or information, please contact me.

8-BELL QUARTER PEAL ATTEMPT (17th Nov)
The 8-bell quarter peal attempt for November is on the 17th, which is the third Saturday. It will be at Fordham, starting at 7 pm and Roderick is hoping to arrange a band for Grandsire Triples. Roderick has set up a Doodle poll where you can show that you are available at this and other times. The link is http://doodle.com/xc6bd439eqax4eca. COTTENHAM OUTING (17th Nov)
Jean Harding of Cottenham writes: 'Cottenham are organising a tower outing on Saturday 17th November, and would welcome a few more ringers. We are planning to ring in 5 towers, centred on the Shelfords, starting at 9.00 or 9.30 and finishing at 4 pm.' If you are interested in joining this outing, please contact Jean directly (jeanharding17@gmail.com) to see if there are still places available.

CAMBRIDGE DISTRICT CAROL SERVICE (8th Dec)
The Cambridge District Carol Service will be held at Little Shelford on Saturday 8th December. Everyone is warmly invited to this Carol Service - all Ely DA members, family and friends, ringers and non-ringers alike.
Service ringing 6 pm. Service at 6.30 pm followed by festive refreshments and general ringing from 7.30 - 9 pm. Singers are invited to join the choir; choir practice is in the church at 4 - 5.30pm, followed by tea in the church hall. If you wish to be in the choir, please contact Phil Gorman (phil_gorman@hotmail.co.uk).
